Matcha is a powdered, extra-fine ground Japanese green tea revered for its unique taste and health benefits. It is a ceremonial tea and can also be used in iced tea, baked goods, and even ice cream.
Matcha is processed from hand-picked, shade grown Gyokuro tea leaves that are finely grown in stone mills.
With a rich history, matcha is the ingredient used in Japanese tea ceremony which has been a symbol of presence and simplicity for centuries. The four principles of the way of the tea ceremony are wa / harmony, kei / respect, sei / purity, and jaku / tranquility.
We offers a range of high-quality ceremonial tea with four grades of matcha:
Matcha Natural is an everyday matcha that can be drunk alone or in lattes, smoothies, and baked goods.
Matcha Kyoto is ceremonial tea grade and is intended to be prepared using a matcha whisk and drunk from a matcha bowl.
Matcha Usucha is a high ceremonial tea grade of matcha that comes from tea trees that are 30 years old and younger.
Matcha Koicha is the highest ceremonial tea grade of matcha that comes from tea trees that are over 30 years old. It has a special preparation where a very small amount of water is added to a high amount of matcha to produce a "thick" matcha.
