DARJEELING HIMALAYA - THIRD FLUSH

1.0 oz
$5.50

DESCRIPTION

  • A pure high-mountain Indian black tea, plucked on the southern slopes of the Himalayas, Darjeeling Himalaya is a fully oxidized "third flush" (harvest) of the year and is blended with small amounts of Spring harvest. It is an original blend, distinguished by the equilibrium of the color of the infusion, its taste, and aroma.
  • Darjeeling Third Flush is a premium tea harvested during the third picking season of the year, usually between late June and early August. This tea is known for its dark color, full-bodied flavor, and strong aroma, making it a favorite among tea enthusiasts who prefer bold and robust teas.

  • The tea leaves used to make Darjeeling Third Flush are grown in the same high-altitude tea gardens of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India as the first and second flush teas, but they are harvested even later in the year, after the monsoon season has ended. The leaves are carefully plucked and then processed using traditional techniques that bring out the rich and complex flavors and aromas.

  • The resulting tea has a dark amber color and a full-bodied flavor that is often described as having notes of dark chocolate, wood, and musk. It also has a distinct floral aroma that adds to the overall sensory experience of drinking this tea.
