LAOS WILD TREE / SA BANG

2.8 oz
$22.00

DESCRIPTION

  • Laos Wild Tree, also known as Sa Bang Tea, is grown and harvested in the Sa Bang village in northern Laos. It is made from the leaves of wild tea trees that grow in the high mountain forests of the region. The tea leaves are plucked from 400 year old wild tea trees.

  • The tea is harvested by hand from the wild trees, and the leaves are carefully processed using traditional methods to preserve their natural flavor and aroma. The resulting tea has a unique and complex taste, which is often described as earthy, floral, and slightly sweet.

  • Reminiscent of raw sheng puer, this tea comes from the wild, mountainous region of northern Laos near the border of Yunnan, China.
  • The dry leaves are then compressed inside bamboo giving this tea its characteristic cigar shape.
  • While not considered a true puer because it is produced in Laos, not Yunnan, China, we still put Laos Wild Tree in the puer category because of its taste, production method and proximity to Yunnan.
