  • Add 1 Tbsp to 12-oz of boiling water. Steep for 5+ minutes. Add milk, and honey.
  • For a stronger taste, try this alternative brewing method that we use at the tearoom:
    • Pour 2 oz of masala spice into a saucepan. Add about 2 and 1/4 cups of filtered water to the pan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 20-30 minutes with the lid slightly tilted off the pot to prevent boiling over. When done, strain the spices from the liquid infusion. Add filtered water to make sure you have a total of 2 cups of liquid. Use right away, or store in the refrigerator for future use. 
    • Drink masala on its own, or brew a separate tea to combine with the masala infusion. See the tea blends below for more information. 


  • Masala spices are found in Chai Masala Tea and Rooibos Chai Masala. Pairs well with Ten Mushroom Blend.
